Dan Carlisle —
A Shooting Legend

Dan Carlisle is the most successful shotgun shooter in history. A bold statement to be sure, but if you define success as getting to the winners podium in national and international competitions, no other person in history can match him.

Dan is the only person to win the USSCA, SCA and NSCA National Championships, the only person to earn a position on the NSSA, ATA, NSCA, SCA, USSCA All American teams, additionally he is the only person to win back-to-back national championships in trap and international skeet.

On the international scene, Dan holds an Olympic medal from the 1984 Olympic Games, won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in International Trap, International Trap Team world champion, holds the International Skeet 4-Man Team World Record and International Skeet World Champion.

Dan has been inducted into the United States Army Marksmanship Unit Shotgun Hall of Fame and in November 2008, will be inducted into the National Sporting Clays Association Hall of Fame as well.

Dan considers his greatest accomplishments to be his students and their success. He has been actively teaching the art of clay shooting for more than 23 years, and has helped launch the shooting careers of such sporting clays greats as Cory Kruse and Anthony Matarese Jr who are adding victories to their resumes on a weekly basis.

Most special to Dan is his selection and participation in the 2008 Olympic Games as the American trap and Olympic trap doubles team Coach. He will be with our athletes in Bejing, China this summer, once again, seeking to bring home the gold.
